Nope - it was a 2 minute job. Literally just slide over the existing black ones (on ST-Line). Others have jubliee clips to tighten up which is better than my ones as mine just have spring clips holding them on so someone could in theory just yank them off! LOL.
Will 80mm slide over like below link mate

That's a nice pair of tips.

The "slash cut" angled tips look a lot better. The US Escape has them stock but the Kuga gets the 90 degree square cut.

ive not seen that done before, it looks good but no doubt the diesel exhaust won’t leave it that way for very long.
I have done it on all my diesel cars VWs, Peugeots , BMWs and never had it wear away as that part of the exhaust should not get hot .I have had 1 can of red paint for 5 years and still going strong ,takes minutes to do then I wiper round rim when still wet .

Does it get covered in soot

Thinking of putting some on myself I’m going leave the original ones on and fit some over them they are 80mm diameter so I’ll find some to fit over them, or I might make some out of aluminium I’ve got some greenhouse shelves easy to do and polish it up
