Trailing arm bushes

Just had a Service done at a local ford dealer and got a advisory trailing arm bushes unbonding does anyone know what sort of job is it ?

I believe the arms come complete but I guess you could get the bushes separately.
T’bay etc is a good ref point but there are out outlets. 😃

Just had my mot by ford and got an advisory for these mines only done 32K its booked into a local garage on 10th Feb Ford wanted over £300 havnt got a quote yet, but they also advised me on the service that the rear brakes need doing at a cost by them of £320 the local garage has quoted £130, keep us informed if you get it done before me please.

The chances are ford are trying it on...... Go and see a local garage who you trust and get them to check the car. I work in a very busy garage and the amount of customers i talk to that have been to a dealers and told there car needs this and that is a joke. Keep an open mind and always get it checked twice and not on face value of the dealers of any brand tell you.

sorry for the delayed reply had it into the local garage he said as there is no movement in the bushes there is no need to change them, also the looked at the brakes, said the discs where fine they changed all pads for £174, done with Ford!!!

Since I do alot of towing, these arms are getting a good looking at next service. Might invest in as a matter of course. To me a weak point of the rear suspension set up.

Rover 214's had a better set up, Range Rovers / 110's had hockey stick arrangements.

All suspension designs suffer from wear as they all have bushes (on road cars) for NVH reasons.
