I think you will need a gps . For the sat nav . What you doing with the old 1 as its better than mine ? As it doesn't work lol ....

 

You will need to find somewhere to wire in and locate a GPS antenna, some use two or more. Beryl plenty of threats on this in the forum if you would like to do a search.

 

I had the Focus version of that Satnav in my 2011 mk2.5 Focus. The original GPS receiver in the base of the roof aerial started playing up (a common fault apparently) and it was easy enough to pick up online a GPS aerial with a long cable to plug into rear of unit and the other end of which was a little black square thing which I stuck with a sticky pad right up at top of the inside of windscreen near the rear mirror. It worked fine for the rest of the time I had the vehicle.
