Hi please help had this today. doors unlocked opened find but would not start when clutch down and button pressed in .. please see photo attached. Code was u0073 .. I walked away from the car and went back and started fine ok now .. kuga 2.0 awd 2013 .. thanks john

Ok thanks you did any one come back to you with where there problem was likely to be . Eg which plugs or wires to check . So it’s nothing like the back of the clocks and solder like other modes and ave check the plugs under nsf foot well where they can come loose .. any other ideas please thanks jd ..

The U codes indicate there is a communication error. I assume you have a generic code reader. For Fords you need a Vgate vlinker from Amazon and Forscan software.

Communication (U codes) imply there is a breakdown communication between the modules on the canbus circuit. Sometimes they go away and sometimes you have to disconnect your battery which resolves the error, similar to when your WiFi goes off and turning the router off and on resolves the problem. Batteries should be disconnected for 20 minutes to let all modules power down. You have to disconnect the POSITIVE lead on the Kuga as the negative lead is inaccessible unless you remove the battery.
