DAB “No Stations Found” SYNC 3.4

I’ve had my KUGA for almost 2 months and have hit a problem with the DAB radio. All was working well but in the last few days when I tap on “All Stations” none are found. I also can’t tune in any using the rotary knob. I can only listen to stored preset stations.

Has anyone else had this issue, especially on SYNC 3.4? Reaching out here before I take the nuclear option of a master reset. I also worry doing that could leave me with no stations at all. Thanks.

I've been following the post for a while now and glad you guys have got your DAB sorted (y)(y)

The only problem I've ever experienced with DAB is using cheap LED indicators, that must put out a horrible field, that caused the DAB to cut out when indicating - very annoying as you can imagine
After changing to decent Autobeam bulbs, the problem has gone away.
Maybe that's why most BMW drivers don't indicate... DAB problems :LOL:

@SpK - I think if I had spent a lot of money on a brand new car I would be hounding the dealer to make sure it works as it should. There seems to be a few issues with DAB and I only listen to a handful of stations but they don't appear to be as good as DAB used in the home.

When you get chance can you please update you signature with your cars details. I know you have a mk3 but when you post in the future it will help other members to see if your query is relative to them or not. Details here.

Hi A Kuga New Boy here
I have recently noticed that the Dab station list has gone AWOL. It was there when i got the car but has disappeared at some stage. I blamed the wife (as you do) but she had not been in it.
I discovered that i could manually search and store dab stations on the pre-sets but obviously something is wrong
I have fully updated the Maps and the latest Sync 3 software and have received notification that all was successful
I appreciate from the chat on the forum that it seems to be a car back to dealer and just wondered if i will have a run around with them or is it now known/accepted and they will sort it without me or am i to expect hassle

Thanks

Welcome to the forum to those of you who have recently joined. I assume you all have the latest mk3 model but please can you have a look at the link below and update your SIGNATURE with your car's information to include manufacture year, exact model, fuel type etc. If you have done it right it will appear as mine does at the bottom of this post. It will save you having to type what you have each time you want to start a thread.

For Info took the Kuga to Main Dealer they reprogrammed it and twiddled about. Radio now working correctly. It was implied that it was not a thing I could have sorted. I can now listen to the depressing news in full DAB

I doubt you can use your phone as a USB device, the SYNC update needs to be in the root directory and the only files there. You could use your phone as a hot spot (if you have unlimited data) or connect the car to your home WiFi and get SYNC to update it's self

@TOfford6345 why not introduced you in the new members section ,and pop your Kuga details into your signature

also I don’t know why you have just posted a quote from 2021.,but nothing else.

Hi. Best thing is when possible, to connect to the home wifi and then set automatic updates to "On". This will take a while to update, but it is definitely worth it to do it yourself. Next thing about "No stations found" in DAB radio. I got it fixed myself too. You don't have to pay anyone to fix it for you. Just go to the settings, scroll down to reset and perform "Master Reset". Make sure to unplug everything from usb sockets first. It will take only 2 minutes to complete and your system will be up and running.
