Well, if it was the EGR, the fault will come back Im afraid!

Mine was a barsteward for days at a time, then nothing for weeks, then a pain once again!

Top tip from the AA guy that sorted it out when it wouldnt start - tap the EGR quite firmly with a big screwdriver handle. Frees it up, till it plays up again!! My issues were on a Focus with the 2.0tdci - nightmare of a car! Infact, it was that which put me off buying another Ford for 6 years!

Hi ips, repeating myself hereI think butonly engine running issue I had was whenever in a situation where I was pulling away briskly, usually to join say a slip road and then onto a motorway, you could feel theKuga judder/hesitate, more evident through the pedal, mentioned this to the dealer when it went in for 1st service, they could not find anything wrongwhich did not surprise me,reason why I decided never to go back there again. Hi Bob
Not experienced that problem.

You seem to be of the same mind as me, stay well away from a main dealer unless its absolutely neccasary. Most are muppets and no were near as good as my local reputable car mechanic / MOT shop (also happens to have become a friend over the last 15 years or so as he has looked after all of our company cars as soon as there out of warranty) my problem still not come back so not taking to dealer just yet.

ips the issue I had was not there all the time only in certain situations unfortunatelymost dealerships these days are usually either owned by the manufacturer or a multi franchise PLC, I'm 50 something and I don't see why I should hold someones hand or draw them a picture, some of them I have to say are just a step away from window lickers. Hello Bob,

I think mine is doing this. Feels almost like a slight miss fire, it isn't harsh or violent, just very slight? Did you get to the bottom of it? Its like it doesn't feel smooth when accelorating?

Or do they all feel like this?

Ben
