This unit is sealed for life - accordinng to Ford ! I would like to change the oil in mine.

Has anyone successfully extracted the diff oil via the the fill hole on the rear cover plate ?

Does anyone have any pictures of the RDU internals ?

@robbie1003 Unfortunately is no information about oil change in rear differential, JTEKT, clutch section.

All what we did is change oil in gear side by use the same fill plug to drain using pump and fill by syringe..

In MK2 is no more Haldex system, they used JTEKT where is not possible to change oil on clutch side without dissasembly whole unit.

PTU (power transfer unit) is in front next to gearbox with is easy for service.

thats what im saying, there seems to be no info on the fluid in the clutch pack and im fully aware its not a haldex in the mk2. as far as the oil changes in the transfer and rear diff yes they are relatively easy. all i get from our technical department within ford is the units are sealed for life which to any oldschool mechanic like myself is a load of rubbish.
