PHEV Battery charge depleting very quickly

That does sound extreme though. The suggested available mileage is woefully inaccurate but a drop of 12 miles after a 2 mile journey is excessive in my experience I think you'd have to be driving up a mountainside with your foot to the floor!

As said above, drive it until empty and make some notes. Make allowances for road conditions and your driving style.
If you're still not happy get it checked.

Your PHEV battery warranty should be 8 years or 100k miles btw.

Charged mine early this morning, -1C outside. Did a pre start to warm things up whilst still plugged in. The ICE started due to the cold. Got in and the EV range said 31 miles possible, which is pretty good for this weather. Did a 4 mile round trip to the post office and back. EV range now at 20 miles which is normal behavior in my experience, basically I don't believe the EV range figures.
I take my elderly mother home in the car sometimes and she only lives 5 or 6 minutes walk away. The car uses about 4 miles of EV range for a 1/2 mile trip!

As for the car itself, I can't fault it really. The load cover is in my shed (dog goes in the back). The door protectors rattle a bit sometimes which my only real complaint tbh.
