Forgive me, as I know this is going to sound negative but, I've fitted quite a number of these so I know what's what.

I don't believe that what you've saved in not running the single wire through the car, you've added with other things you have had to add. You have to remove the lower boot trim anyway, there's only another 4 nuts holding the tailgate trim on, and getting the wires through from the camera can't have been easy without removing the trim. You say it only works for a short while, and you're going to have to add some kind of filter, I don't have any issues like this with the cabled ones.

Also, in Forscan, it's much better to use the APIM Module Configuration as it has drop down menu's to change. There's a lot of scope for error using the As Built, especially for anyone who's not familiar with it, it's too easy to change the wrong block. I appreciate, you've probably just followed the You Tube but I told Gary the same thing (He's fellow Admin on our FB group).
