Given up on map update. Have done a couple of journeys of 2-2.5 hrs and it hasn't completed. Google maps or Waze via Android Auto is better

Since I purchased my Kuga in April 2021 I have done a couple of sync and map updates. Both times Sync took about 15 minutes but map updates were close to 3 hours each time if memory serves me right.

Did you need to keep the car running when doing the map updates that took 3 hours?

I did it on a 3 hour journey and it completed about 3 miles from home. I believe you normally have to have engine running but I have read a couple of comments on this forum that suggest you don't need to but the general consensus is that you do need to keep it running.
