From memory you're supposed to start at the top. I've had part of mine off and you need to be very careful as the panels have fragile clips holding them together (top section.)
The lower part you need to remove the grab handle- it's got a couple of screws holding the trim to the tailgate.
Tried you tube but couldn’t find Specific video on Kuga or Escape but have found exploded picture on line showing where clips are located so should be OK to go, will find out in next few days, thanks guys
Phoneman do you have a link or a copy of the exploded view of the boot trim? I’d like to know where those clips are located. I tried google but no joy.
All sorted, top trim first with trim levers, clips are tight but do release, followed by top quarter trims which are a lot easier. I wouldn’t attempt it without trim tools as damage is inevitable
