Can anyone help ive got water in boot and on carpets and front nearside footwell

Invariably on the Mk.1 this will be due to cracked or missing sealant where body and floor panels meet. You need to be scrupulous in tracing the cracks/missing areas removing the defective sealant and re-sealing.

In mine it was coming in and runing down C pillar, then forward under floor, in to rear footwell and then front footwell (parked nose down). I removed the black plastic trim on the roof ( I don't haev roof rails) and resealed the roof rail mount points then any joins I could see around the top corners of the boot and the hinge area with white Tigerseal (car is white).
