Hi, I have a 66 plate ford titanium kuga which has done around 27,000 miles with one previous owner prior to me purchasing the car in July 2020. I noticed that underneath the carpet on the driver’s footwell is soaking wet and my car seems to have moisture on the windscreen constantly when the car is standstill. I have taken it to a garage and they have checked the air con pipe and they’ve said that it’s absolutely fine and they’ve done a diagnostic test and that’s come back fine, has anyone else experienced this and if so what’s the solution? I’ve spoken 3 different ford garages and they’ve been about as useful as a chocolate fire guard. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as your water leak, I don't understand why they did a diagnostic check for a wet footwell It just proves that some dealers are totally lost if they can't plug a computer in to it!
There's a known issue where the air intakes in the scuttle get blocked with leaves and can cause leaking into the car, also there's a known issue with the windscreen bond allowing water through.
Is it only the front? The most common place for water leaking in is into the spare wheel well. If you have roof rails, it would be worth getting them resealed too.
For front footwell check the following: AC pipe (discounted) scuttle drains blocked, and / or leaking bulkhead grommet, screen bonding (which tends to leak from day one or not) or door membrane damage / blocked door drain holes (the bottom inside surface of the door will be wet). Make sure the door drain holes are clear.
You need to ignore the wet footwell and look up under the dash to see if you can see where the water is coming from. Pull the carpet back as well a little right behind the pedals. There will be evidence of water there somewhere and then you will need to track it back.
Get yourself to a decent independent garage. Diagnostic checks won't find a water leak. As has been said it's more likely a failed windscreen bond or blocked drain hole.
A half decent independent garage will find the source of the leak in next to no time and save you a lot of money along the way.
Just saw this guys. Mine was wet in the footwell and checked everywhere that was mentioned. Turned out when i took it back to the garage where i bought it ( my missus works there lol ) it was the rear boot seal. They said its a common fault , replaced it and dry as a bone now .hope that helps.

Get a garage to check the coolant pipes that run to the heater matrix. There is an issue with C-max's leaking water from a joint on the drivers side just below where the gear stick is. It's a couple of hours job for the sake of 2 little "O rings". Had a few like this at the garage I work at and seeing as Kugas, C-max and focus are all similar there could be a common fault between them all.
Got a shock when topping up the winter screen wash - noticed the coolant level was barely visible at the bottom of the expansion tank. Got a bigger shock when investigation as to where the coolant had gone lead me too peeling back the driver's foot mat only to find a puddle of what could only...
Closing this as the OP has not been on the forum for almost two and a half years. Door seal failure is very unlikely BTW. Windscreen seal failure is far more common.
