Morning all, probably a question asked many times....
I am trying to update my maps, this is third time I have downloaded the files onto brand new 64gb usb flash drive, each time I get this error message?
easiest way to update maps is to buy a new sd card, i went to fleabay and bought one for £22, had a sticker with tom tom on it, gave it a go, works perfect, finding roads that are only 2 months old.
Bought my car with map version F6.1 on sync v 3.0 upps. Looks like I got to do some reading up to do this weekend. Does anyone know if the dealers have a fast track way to do this via a direct link connection to the module? Doing this via a usb port or wifi seems a very slow way.
@RonnieM how long did it take to download to your sync3 I have downloaded it it’s on the usb stick ready ,,I’m working in Gloucester tomorrow so a long run should do it ,,,(that’s if I don’t get errors)
It depends on the version and method you're using. If you're using Ronnie's method of the super highway then it's approx 47 minutes. If you're using Ford's method, then who knows.
I dont use Ford route Ross, hopeless and not reliable so not sure what update you will have, but guarantee it wont be as up to date as the super highway
Or am I not allowed to know the inner workings of the Freemasons secret society of automabililia nods and winks, inverted handshaking and “defrocking” and such initiation ceremonies.
No secret @andspenka will be along with a PM in a tick👍
