What is the switch for with the (I assume) alarm sign on it on drivers doornear handle ? cant find any reference to it in the manual. Have pressed it but nothing seems to happen....



Also whilst w are on the subject of stupid questions what are the infra red tingys on the front cuortesy light..........something to do with the keyless fob maybe

Good question Ian, I did wonder,not sure, to isolate interior sensor? Infra reds? dunno.

Whey hey.........at least its not just me then. Acctually on calling back to dealer to have some more oil put in (dont ask) we had 2 service blokes 2 mechanics and 2 sales sorts none of which knew what it was, and theres nowt in the manual that I can see.

The button turns of the interior sensor. So you can lock the car and leave a child/pet in the car without it setting the alarm off.
Red lights are something known as submarine lighting. Come on when you turn the headlights on. It lights up the interior without being a bright harsh white light.

Oh, thank you that explains it then. As for these submarine lights (cool name wait till I tellmrs ips and daughter that I have submarine lights
) are they meant to stay on ALL the time the lights are on??

I don't know about submarine lights. Maybe the Kuga's are more discreet (have yet to find out) but the ST's red night lights are definitely porno!
