First of all, credit for this goes to @Dugey who sussed it all out and had the balls to dive in, even though I said it wouldn't work

You need to change 3 parts, both mirrors and the electric window switch bank. Don't worry if the mirrors aren't the right colour, the caps are the same size and can be swapped for your original covers.

Step 1, remove the door card. There's 3 torx head bolts and 2 x 7mm bolts, the rest is clips.

Once the door card is off, you need to remove the plastic trim covering 2 of the mirror retaining bolts. The 3rd one is outside the door seal towards the front of the door.

I had all the wiring in this plug as you can see.

Step 2 is programming in the BCM, you need to be in Engineering mode to make the changes. You need to change 2 lines, the Rear View Mirrors and the Puddle Lights.

Took the opportunity to change the Puddle light to LED at the same time.

I've just done the same to my Galaxy. I had to set them the to "...retractable mirrors and memory". With option 1 they behaved rather strangely; didn't fold on locking, only with button. But then unfolded on unlocking!

Fairly easy mate, tilt the mirror upwards, then get a long thin screwdriver in to push the clip over.

This is the original so you can see what I mean about the clip.
