My car has an Aux and a USB port in the centre armrest cubby box.

The audio has DAB, connects to my phone by Blue tooth, but no satnav.

Is there anyway to listen to an app installed on the phone through the car hifi (be that music, or audio books or BBC sounds etc). I presume the Aux connection would work if I had a headphone jack on the phone, and a cable, but hoping the USB link will work, and may give the ability to control the app via the headunit or steering wheel controls?

Doesn't seem to be a way to use the Bluetooth for anything other than phone calls. Am I missing something ?

I use the USB with a USB stick with my driving songs on and control everything through the headset.
Have not used a cable with the phone, but yep bluetooth works fine with calls etc.

Found it! Simple press the CD/Aux button and it cycles through and picks up BT Audio; and hey presto, phone apps play in the car - Spotify, BBCSounds etc.
