Ive got this weird problem in 6th gear, while overtaking a truck earlier my car suddenly lost acceleration as if the speed limiter had been activated, now, even though the limiter is off the car will not go past 2250 rpm's when its in 6th gear, the odd thing is though that if I go past 2500 rpm's in 5th and then change gear to 6th it's ok, It's a really bizarre problem.

Has anyone ever heard of anything like this.

My only option at the moment is to unplug the battery and hope that clears it, if not then it's off to the fraud dealership, im just hoping that it's not an ecu problem.

Any suggestions at this point would be appreciated.

Bluefin in your signature. I would start there!

If you have remapped it Ford will blame it for sure (and may be right)

Ive restored the original map and driven it around today and its still the same, one thing that I have noticed is that its not cutting power at a certain rpm like I first thought it seems to be power related, I also think it may be doing it in 5th.

when it cuts the power i can literally push the pedal to the floor and the car will not accelerate past a certain point.
ive also scanned for codes and theres none at all.
