Hi all.

Rookie mistake today. Was opening the air cleaner box to install my new K&N filter, when the socket popped off the extension, and went down the side.

I'm guessing it's under the box but I can't access it (need to get a new socket to open the box).

Anything under there I should be worried about? And is there an easy way to get under the air cleaner box?

Welcome to the forum Dat-Kiwi.
I would try to tie a magnet to a piece of string and see if that can get down and under and pick it up with that.
Just an idea mate.
BTW can you pop your Kuga details in your personal signature please, this will help others to assist you in the future.

So in case anyone wondered, under the air cleaner is a hole. Anything down that gap will drop down to the pan under the engine. Once I drove a bit it dislodged from the original spot and fell through.
