Hi,

Newbie 👋

I have a 63 plate Kuga and over the last few months the trip computer lcd screen has been playing up with lines through it and disappearing then coming back on each time I started it. Now it's completely blanked to a black screen. I can still here messages coming up such as headlight bulb out..

Firstly Is this easy to fix change yourself and secondly where would I get it from I can't seem to find any? Or would it be a salvage job from a written off kuga.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Perhaps look into the program ForScan- it's free and written for Fords and might give you some codes that will help fault find it. It can also reset codes and modules. An OBDLink MX Bluetooth is one of the better OBD2 interfaces to use for Ford's, the cheaper modified ELM327 interfaces (with a switch) will usually work okay for limited use.

(You'd probably need to get a dealer to program any replacement instrument screen. You might be able to DIY with ForScan.)
