Hi Skimad,

This month's What Car magazine has a good write up on tow cars etc, the 2WD Kuga get's a top recommendation, you may get some good info from the mag.

Hi skimad, I would be cautious about going any heavier than what you have already. You are at 92.99% with the 1500kg van. I am in exactly the same position as yourself. My van of choise would put me towing at 98.7% which is a bit silly for safety. Trust me if you have never had a "snake" then great, but going any heavier than where you are now is courting disaster.

Regards and safe vaning.

Wouldthe trailer stability assist help, if you have the ford fitted towbar. I only tow a light'ish race car and trailer at maybe 1100kgs and the Kuga tows it brilliantly.
