I took a yeti for a test drive a couple of years again and found it agricultural on the manual gearbox. Wasn’t impressed at all and it lacked refinement. If you wear wellies and let the dogs run free, ideal I guess.
But not for me, all to their own though, as they say.

Blooming great in all honesty.
Fill up and go a trip to the seaside, 44mpg.
Pottering around home (when allowed) and some mixed 10 mile runs, 38mpg.
Others say they’ve had better from Mazdas and the like but I’ve been with a Kuga since the mk 1 ones.
it’s just a Great all round motor and I’ve been lucky and this Vignale has not caused me any issues at anytime. Yes it’s got the later auto box.
I run it on the Esso Supreme + diesel. Used to be BP ultimate but swapped sides.

She's a car snob and only reason I got rid of a perfectly good car for a perfectly good newer car.

She actually thinks the Kuga is ugly lol but she likes the CX-5 (mk3 Kuga).

Thinking diesal, manual and I like a bit of oomph

Just asking as the Kuga diesel auto is a dual clutch (much like VW/ Skoda DSG) and can have issues with the earlier model years. (Not that VW / Skoda DSG's are without their own issues..... )

A manual is definitely the better choice.

They couldn't meet our emissions back in the early 90' I think it was and disappeared. They used to be 1,00's of them parked up on the docks in Hull and even more on the industrial estate at Bridlington.
