I have an iTouch connected to the car using the proper cable that links up with the USB port and the line in.

About half the time when I first switch on the car the stereo says ipod not connected. The rest of the time it works fine straight away. It could be a dodgy connection on the USB but it seems unlikely.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I certainly am!
I've found that when you switch theengine off, change it to radio before you turn off. When I then start up again and switch to ipod, it seems to work fine.

I've had a couple of other problems as well that I'll take up with my dealer, such as track names not changing. Are you having this problem as well Gav?

To be honest no. When it does connect, it seems to work really well. It's just that initial connection.
Mind you, I don't tend to look at the track names. I just flick through tracks until I hear something I fancy.
