Can anyone please help me?
I've just taken delivery of a new Kuga Zetec, and was disappointed the car was only supplied with one remote control key. Is this normal for the Zetec?
The car was also supplied with a greykey blade, andpage 27 of the handbooksays (correctly) thatthis can be used to open the driver's door. Unfortunately, the alarm goes off 12 seconds later, and (contrary to what page 35/36 of the handbook says) the grey key blade does not deactivate the alarm when it is inserted into the keyholder under the steering column. The only way the alarm can be deactivated is with the remote control.
Is this behaviour normal for the Kuga? If so, I cannot understand the purpose of the grey key - it seems pointless except for opening the bonnet.
I should add that my car does not have the optional keyless entry.
