............I have had a new battery and new alternator installed BUT car does not start up intermittently...................
........................... Today I was told there is nothing wrong with battery or alternator but there seems to be a spike on the circuit!!. The car has been in the garage twice now!!
When I had something similar with my MK3 Mondeo, it was a loose connection to the starter motor, but I would have thought a reputable garage would check that. The AA guy tightened the 13mm nut on the starter and it never did it again. Nowt worse than going to your car and not knowing if it's gonna let you down.....again!

I even had starting issues in the past due to corroded ot loose earth connections. Maybe get them undone, cleaned and greased?
