Booked the Kuga in last week for today at 1pm....
I was told it would be 4hr of a job..

Job 1
A new key cut and coded to the car and to the key fob..
Job 2
Recall on the heated washers.....
Job3
General health check....

Ford phoned us back at 4pm to say that the car is ready for collection but the key/fob as not been coded to the car we will have to bring it back one day next week....

Excusebeing....that suddenly an hr befire closing their internet is down.....B*** S*** it is as the missus just as seen somebody on google...

Now they want the car for 5hrs to code the key n fob to the car....
5hrs can you believe that.....
They are literally taking the mick....
We reckon that the work will be done within that 5hrs.....

And when you asked them why it takes 5 hours for that job, what did they say?

They probably didnt tell him the truth, that they had trouble programming the fob to the car so need it for half a day to query with Ford what could the matter be.

In fairness I do know the dealers have to contact Ford US systems
Over the internet to fix certain issues so if that connection was down they wouldn't be able to carry out the work

Could also have meant that a certain server was down that they needed to access, if it's down on a computer a lot of people would just say 'the internet is down'.

I have no idea, just looking at the scenario from more than one angle.

'the internet is down'.

My internet went down at home last night, had to spend the evening talking to my Wife. I was surprised to find out she no longer works at Woolworths.
