If you want to fit new brake pads you MUST get the brakes into “maintenance mode”. How do I do that I hear you think. The answer is very simple.
sit in car, make sure it is in neutral manual or auto.
Turn ignition ON.
push epb switch Down and press accelerator pedal to floor..
swich ignition off then on. Wait a few seconds and
you should hear a whiring from the rear of the car indicating the epb winding back.
you should also see a message on your dash saying “Maintenance Mode”.
you can now change the pads in the normal way.
When you are finished pump pedal to build up pressure.
Turn ignition on Pull epb lever UP while pressing accelerator pedal to the floor, turn ignition off then on and you should now be out of maintenance mode.
Hope you find this usefull.
