our KUGA has done around 1700 miles,
we just left it at home for a months hol in our motorhome, on returning when I drove the KUGA for the first time, as I let out the clutch to pull away the revs shot up then sudenly dropped off, talk about kangaroo petrol.

this lasted till our first stop about 8 miles on, it was then almost normal but still with a higher than normal increase in revs as clutch was released, after our next stop about 4 miles on all was as normal. Has anyone else had this happen.

Cheers

I had the same problem when I had my S max twice - take it to a dealer who can fix the problem with a reprogramme .Touch wood my Kuga has been fine -so far!

don't think it needs reprogamming most likley it's a sticking idle speed control valve. probably freed up with use after you had driven it for a bit. cars do not like long periods of inactivity
