Got the notification to say that the SOS function had failed.

Drove home with the SOS button glowing bright Red.

Seems very similar to issues folk with the 2019 onwards Focus have been having. Loss of modem serial number in the Ford Sync Vehicle settings etc. They talk about a circumvention being to pull fuse 11, clean and then replace but that will probably be a different fuse on the Kuga. Will take a look tomorrow. Hey ho, technology.

Issue seems to have cleared itself overnight.

This is inline with some other peoples experience on the discussion re the Ford Focus 2019. No warning message this morning, the SOS light is the normal dimmed red and the modem serial number has reappeared in Vehicle Settings. The vehicle location in FordPass has also now been updated, I assume because the App can now gain access to the vehicle via the internet connection / Vodafone network and the FordPass Connect modem.

One to watch.
