Having ordered my Kuga Titanium (Vision, BT with USB, FF Tow Bar & App Pack) through my employers lease scheme in June, I was given an expected delivery date to the dealers of 26th September. I have been told today that it will now be delayed. The new expected date at the dealers is now 28th NOVEMBER!!! 3 long months waiting and now another 2 to go, my previous new build house only took 5 months from signing off plan to moving in. Now call me cynical but the only thing I can think of is somone somewhere has forgotten to place my order. Before I persue a reason for the delay (none given so far) I would be interested to here of fellow members waiting times from ordering to collecting, particularly vehicles ordered around May / June / July time. Sorry Bob but it's gonna be a few more months before I can confirm the presence (or not) of the Seat Back Trays. Rant over.
Regards,
A very very dejected Ursus.

often if there is a problem sourcing a correct build car the dealers have and will use a vehicle exchange scheme, where they can look at other dealers stock and request that car for a small fee. I would ask dealer to see if they can source it that way or ask Ford for a written explanation for delay! Don't be fobbed off and ifyou seem to be getting nowhere with dealer ask them for Ford customer service number ( they do have one)
It may? be worthwhile asking what freebies will be on offer as compensation for extended wait eg. free car mats..free 1st years service etc. or even 4 gallons of fuel etc. nothing asked for nothing will be offered. good luck.

Hi All

Maybe I was the exception, but I ordered mine the third week in June and was told it would be here in 12 weeks, however dealer rang me in July and I collected it on the 29 July. They did give me the option of collecting it on the New Reg in September, but as the dealer was changing on the 31 July from Polar to Stoneacres, I thought I would get it out of there in case there were any hiccups with the change over.

very annoying :(

Ordered mine 31st July also (moondust 2wd with appearance, 19" alloys etc) and it was built 1st week in September, and is currently sitting at the docks in Belgium waiting to be shipped over. Was given a delivery date (to dealer) of 26th Sep also - that's looking unlikely now, but shouldn't have to wait much longer. Disappointed with the vagueness of the information available to the dealers though - it's not as if they've only started building cars. I used to work on BMW's IT systems and once a car had a build slot, the delivery date was 100% spot on.

Your delay is a bit extreme Dr Nick - who did you order it thru ? I ordered mine thru Drivethedeal, but the actual sale is thru a normal Ford dealer in the Midlands. Maybe yours has a December date due to the options (Sat Nav, X-Pack ??)

my delay is complicated slightly as dealer thought he'd found one already built pretty much to my spec and I could have that "next week". turned into a 2 week wait and finally the realisation it was not the AWD I had specified.

was REALLY lookingforward to a nice long drive this weekend grr

:(

Hi all,
Thought I would post an update, my employer orders direct from Ford through "Direct Sales". They have given the reason for the delay as *****a parts shortage*****. Very vague.
I have managed to take the opportunity to omit the Tow bar now since I can have one fitted at a local specialist for almost half the price.
It's good to see some people have received theirs early but sad that others are having to wait like myself. Thanks for all the info so far, I have now calmed down and got over my initial disappointment, at least it's 2 more months of cheaper motoring, not the same though...

Regards

Sorry to hear that, they just don't realise the trouble they cause. Hope I didn't offend with my comments, it was just the extra money I won't now be paying will be handy.
