Hi everyone I just wondered when the cambelt needs changing on my mk2 2.0 tdci...It's 5 years old next month and has covered 59k cheers thanks

If it's a 'keeper' I would do it now TBH.

Only ever had one cambelt go on me (A Vauxhall Senator with under 1000 miles on the clock). Engine was trashed. totally trashed.

There are two types of OHC engines; "Interference" or "non-Interference". Basically an interference type will trash the valves because the pistons will hit the open valves, and non-interference they won't, so no physical damage. I don't know which the KUga 2.0 TDCI is

All Duratorq engines are 'interference' engines.

So, if the camblet lets go, it's 'big bucks'.
