Here’s a tenners-worth of Halfords engine gloss black, two 15mm bolt removal and some brass wire cups on a drill. No lacquer needed. They look great!

That's a decent shine too with no orange peel. What did you polish them up with.

Thanks for the kind comments! I didn’t polish them after the paint, just used a brass cup on the stainless steel.
The paint is 180deg engine paint that cures at ambient temp. I just stuck them in the oven the next day at 150deg for 20 mins to test the adhesion and finish. All good👍
