Hi.
My father bought a used 2011 kuga titanium S about a month ago.
He has been experiencing that the car sometime refuse to unlock when pressing on the fob, but it unlocks the driverdoor with keyless entry, without any indication of doing so (the indicators dont flash, the interior lights dont light up when he opens the door...) There are no signs of life until he attempts to start the engine. Only after starting the engine do the other doors unlock.
The keyless entry is ment to open any door, but only opens the drivers door.

This happens about 40% of the time he attempts to unlock the vehicle.
Any ideas what might cause this and how to fix it?
Thanks!

If you remove the battery from the car?
Would it when you put it back on go back to factory setting's?

Like RE-BOOT?

Just a thought :)

Don't really know. He hasn't had the car for that long, and he uses the car daily, so the battery doesnt really have time to drain.
That doesn't prove that the battery isn't shot... If the battery is three or four years old, it will not retain charge like a new one. Take a multimeter and put it across the battery connnections on the 20V DC scale to see what it reads before starting the car... It should be about 12.8V (depends a bit on temperature) anything below about 12.2V could indicate abad battery. Also check the battery connections are good and tight. IF you have the radio code, it's worth taking them off, cleaning the post and the inside of the connection, replace and slather some silicon grease over the outside of the connection to limit air getting to it to corrode the gubbins.
