  1. 2017 ST180 Powershift staying in 5th

I doubt if the fuel has anything to do with it tbh. I put BT ultimate in my Mazda to give it a birthday on a trip to Austria. 150 miles into the journey it failed a regen be brought the light on. Never used it since. All diesels produce soot when cold which is why the dpf was designed to catch...
  2. Airbag warning light

    Mk2 General Discussion
This may sound like an extremely daft question but are you sure it's the airbag light. The frost sensor comes on at 4 degrees so at 4 degrees you should have 2 lights on, the airbag warning light and the frost light. If you have only one light on, and it is the airbag light then there is...

He doesn't have what you have though as he bought a petrol Kuga. I think I would be looking for a similar option if I had bought that engine as I was put off by someone I know who works at ford. He said if you have been driving diesels you won't like the way you have to work the engine to make...

So the gunk not only costs you more for a repair (if possible) as well as a new pressure monitor. Hmmm, I think the boys who thought of this need to go back to the clever school from which they received their higher education and learn a few things. Are we not supposed to be cutting back on...

Are you sure there are still some mills left in Yorkshire. When I worked for joinery company years ago many of them were being converted into yuppie apartments and very nice they were too. I know there are some left but when I was in transport we delivered countless number of carpets from...

I do remember that. Perhaps a conflict of interest. Perhaps if the tyre manufacturers had come up with the concept then the story may be different. I put this stuff in my ride on lawnmower and when I eventually come to change the tyre it was easy enough to clean up. TPMS could be an issue though.

I tried one of those on my lawn mower. It didn't work unfortunately. It was only a cheat Sealey one so maybe you get what you pay for. Not something I would use on a motorbike unless it was just to get home with.

Are you certain you have allowed for enough time. I may just be able to afford a new Kuga by that date providing I save well. Back on track look.

No not really and it's hard to have a decent debate without things coming across a bit harsh. I just think it's a shame that we were a world leader in most things and then we take our eye off the ball through complacency. Just look at the sports we have invented and then the rest of the world...

I think F1 is in a totally different world to compare with to be honest. It is a world that most could only dream about seeing and touching one of those cars never mind owning and driving one. The same could be said of the electric motorcycles, developed in this country and will lap the Isle of...

I don't think this country has ever been very innovative where design and technology has been concerned. The Japanese finished our motorcycle industry and electronics industry and possibly the car industry as well. It's no wonder though as the British concept used to be what was good 10 years...

I can't complain about my city mpg. Around 40 in the summer and 37.4 was the lowest it went last winter. Not bad for a 1.7 ton container.

That's enough to put me off buying one. The companies who make that gunk stuff must be giving large gifts to the car designers to promote their producst. I would have thought technology would have moved on by now and we wouldn't get issues with punctures. Looks like the hover car is still a long...

I am really surprised our government has never imposed a satellite TV tax or mobile phone tax as it taxes every other pleasure. Let's face it, we re looking at a government that nearly went to war on a tax on a pasty. Our government are stupid saying we need to be doing away with diesels yet...
  15. Do I need winter tyres?

    Mk2 General Discussion
I got continentals on mine. I can fault the wet grip. I have also used Goodyear efficient grip and Dunlop SP sport blue response which both had excellent wet grip on my Mazda 6. I also ran a set of Toyo Proxes in 17" on the Mazda and although these are not a premium tyre they still had excellent...

Just crazy isn't it. No spare wheel. First I came across it was in 2012 when the wife bought an 09 plate Fiesta. Luckily I had a Mk6 fiesta spare wheel which went in the boot along with a jack and a brace. 12 plate Fiesta didn't have one either so swapped the wheel over on part ex and then...

Oh I see. We have a couple of hybrid buses in our city but would have thought the fuel would have been better than 4.7. I used to be in transport years ago and the trucks pulling 38 ton total weight did about 7 to 8 on average.

Perhaps if they trained bus drivers to drive steady they would attain an mpg of 8mpg without the expense of going to a hybrid.

I just wondered if other areas in the UK (and abroad) have an issue with pot holes and the council's lack of interest in repairing them. This didn't seem to be an issue years ago but here in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, there seems to be a total lack of interest from our councils in repairing...
  20. Updating Mini R60 to Mini F56

    Non Kuga related chit chat
I bet that goes around corners a lot quicker than your Kuga. I remember having a bit of a race with a mini when I had my Mazda 6. That wasn't a slow car but he passed me with ease on one of our 60mph country roads and I was waiting for him to brake for a bend which in the Mazda was a bit twitchy...
