  1. Heated Front Windscreen issues

Dont know why it should come on on its own, but if its distorting vision sounds like the lamination is coming apart.
  2. TPMS cheap n reliable?

    Mk2 General Discussion
I guess you pick your tyres and you drive to the prevailing conditions.
  3. TPMS cheap n reliable?

    Mk2 General Discussion
    Yeh that looks like them.

Yes a bit long winded isn't it, I'd just got up at 4.00am so it had no effect on. Says what we've been saying on here to some extent.
  5. Hybrid drive and not impressed!

    Mk2 General Discussion
Was in Pickering this weekend and while lurking on the street corner outside the only supermarket in the town (missus was in the supermarket for dog biscuits, great for dunking :)), at the traffic lights I saw two Toyota Aygo's, a Nissan Leaf and Mitsubishi Outlander all within 5 minutes. says...

How about this for timing, LED_MOT
  7. Main Dealerships

    Mk2 General Discussion
Phill, just had the oil and filter changed and an inspection to reconcile my service and March MOT dates (service due November due to reaching 12.5k in first 7 months) my choice to do this and agreed with extended warranty people. £99. This was at the Ford franchise in Batley, you'll know them...
  8. Dipped bulbs

Puffnutter. 150% is a misrepresentation's. You may the line, 150% more light on the road and even that will depend on individual headlight design. By law the filament lamp cannot exceed 1500 lumen in total light output and the road legal 150% will be no different. What they do is make the...
  9. Bought a kuga

    Newbies
When engine is warm/hot are the pipes through the bulkhead also hot/warm? If so heater matrix is OK but the heater flaps may not be moving.
  10. Spot Lights.

    Mk2 Modifications
Well yes it could affect MOT, I'm told by my dealer that the main beam LEDs I have fitted will not effect MOT as they dont look deficient of light (bright enough) and they are the main beams. Dip beams may be more of a problem but (Daz) Mad Skier has fitted LED's in his non Xenon Kuga and was OK...
  11. Spot Lights.

    Mk2 Modifications
I think its the crisper white rather than the yellow filament but being whiter is less of the infra red from a filament lamp but definite improvement, the light output I have measured and is at least 1.5 times brighter than the filament lamp, and I have been really sceptical of claims of LED...

I dont know why I'm not seeing the alerts to this thread, but have a look Here for LED replacments, a few of us on here have fitted replacements in dip beam and main beam. I have Xenon's and the one's I've fitted as my signature says, in the main beams, really are far superior to the filamnet H1...
  13. Lifting up the rear!

    Mk2 General Discussion
If its a trolley jack use a rubber pad or piece of cardboard and lift under the rear spring cup instead of twisting the body from the side, as Phill says, it looks stupid and twists the body.
  14. Mpg

    Mk2 General Discussion
It certainly is. And I do get a good 47 - 49 on a run. Oh I use Asda diesel. And yes my wife took it with her head on my shoulder. The speedo is checked against a SatNav.

I find 73 is 70mph (usually do 76 indicated speed). That's not really an admission constable.:)
  16. Lifting up the rear!

    Mk2 General Discussion
Floor jack, do you mean hydraulic trolley jack? I have a trolley jack and when changing wheels for winter etc I use a trolley jack under the rear spring cup, lifts the wheel and not just the body. Wish I could do it at the front but unlike my old Mondeo where I could lift the wheel under the...

What model Kuga do you have (perhaps put it in your signature). Some members have fitted LED replacements for main beams. I also did a mod to bring on my foglights with main beams, though not for then faint hearted.
