Does anyone have any advice, as the garage is refusing to do anything about it or are we just worrying about nothing? We have read on your site that water ingress is a problem and so we would like the lamps changing under the warranty before the 12months are up.

The garage are now saying the vehicle is inside the workshop and the condensation has cleared!

We have not picked the car up yet!

My Audi A3 Sportback front headlights occasionally mist up usually after a wash with hot water, soon goes. Kuga the same but on rear nearside, no worries tho.

I don't have my lights misting up but on a mondeo I used to own I popped a silica sachet in by the wires under the rubber grommet and this dried the lights up great....anybody else tried this?

On my old Cougar, one of the headlights was getting some condensation and it was indeed a fault. Annoyingly, it needed an entirely new headlamp assembly (the car wasn't under warranty).

I'm guessing the only problem with condensation in a light cluster (other than the aesthetics)  is if the moisture/water ends up shorting something out

I too have had condensation in both off/side rear lights ,which are in no way connected to each other. This usually happens when I drive car out of cold garage and leave it sitting in the sun.
So today I decided to completely remove the outer light unit, one with indicator and side light to see what is happening.

First thing I noticed is that the bulb holders do not have any type of seal 'O' ring or otherwise and you can see through the gaps in holder,so there is nothing to stop moist air from within the car entering lamp units.

I know other people on this forum have suggested the placing of small silica anti moisture bags in light as I have used in the past with Jaguar and VW Transporter and they both have seals fitted but this would be useless as rear lights are not sealed and you would be trying to dehumidify the surrounding area.
