When I bought my Kuga my only 2 complaints were that the seats were hard (now bedded in) and that the steering was a bit vague. I was playing around with the settings one day and found the steering selection. I tried them all out and really liked the Sports setting. I have mine set to this all the time now, and yes, I could tell the difference. |

How do you do this? My steering feels a bit too light to me and I would like to try the other settings?
Thanks.

gemma. you change the settings by accessing the onboard computer. Click the "button" till you see "Menu", then press to enter the sub menu......look for "steering" and enter that sub menu.....you will be given 3 options......select the one you want
If you have a manual. it is on page 71, if not, follow this link to download it to your puter.

Thanks Jayarr, that's really helpful.
I do have a manual and had a look for this as I remembered seeing it when I first got the car, but I couldn't find it again (probably doesn't help that I was busy supervising OH driving my Kuga at the time!)

gemma, you can only change the "steering" when stationary not when in motion

I meant I was trying to find it in the manual while he was driving, not trying to find it on the onboard computer! But yes, I have managed it now (really is dead easy to do isn't it
I'm liking the sport setting personally!

Gemma, it was just an afterthought, that if you couldn't find it in the manual, you might not know about the "warning".
Isn't it funny how different driver's prefer different settings. I used the "sports" mode during the time of the snow because I felt that I had better control of the car and it responded better. As soon as the snow disappeared, I reverted back to the "standard" setting and that now feels completely natural.
Anyway, happy Kugaring
John

Having just picked up our new Kuga after the fiasco that was the last one I have a question.
Should the steering reset to comfort after the car has sat for a night? I set the car to standard , which it stays on for the day, then by magic over night resets to comfort. We have only had the new car for 2 days and cant find any info in book. Any ideas gang? |
