Hi. Can anyone shed any light on this?
'64 plate kuga titanium, got in car this morning complete power blackout. Don't think door was locked.
Had to call RAC. They said there is a power drain somewhere. Draining a constant 3 volts. Nothing obvious, no lights or anything left on. Thinks it could be something to do with Bluetooth. Booked into Ford on Thursday. He got it running but will it happen again?

Even with the door not locked or even closed, the battery saver system should operate after about 20 minutes and shut down non essential circuits except exterior light if they are intentionally switch on and power sockets.

It does seem to be still a problem thats been around a long time. Bluetooth was one problem but I think that one should have been sorted.

Did you mean it was showing a constant 3V on the battery, that was what was usually found on Mondeo's 2008 onwards when the same fault occurred on many owners vehicles.

When you take the car in, remind them that there is supposed to be a battery saver system that should shut down the electrics if door is left open or even if interior lights are left on and that the problem does not seem to be an isolated incident with many other Kuga owners suffering teh same fate. There are posts on this forum. Look at the following link.
Kuga Titanium X Sport 180 Manual(AWD), Magnetic (with a few extras). March 2016.
Makes you want to drive it, though not necessarily buy it.
