Put some new side light and fog light bulbs to match Zenons and drl's today thought you might like a look?

what do we all think?

Ps drl's are all seperate bulbs but look a continuous light in the pictures for some reason maybe as they are very bright.

Looks good, where'd you get the bulbs from for the front spot lights?
I only realised tonight how poor the standard fog lights are so think I want to change them for either better performance or at least to the colour matches the xenons.

I was thinking about my sides and fogs the other day, nothing looks worse than 'cream' light on a white car, especially one with xenon lights!. What bulbs did you use for the replacement? I used LED in the puddle lamps and it looks good...

What I want to know is the method for removing the headlamp units - I tried to do this the other day, and gave up after half an hour, worried that I was going to break something (and, yes, I had removed the only screw that I could see !!)

Cheers,
Niall

Hi Niall, I have replaced the bulbs (doesn't take long) - I couldn't remove the wiring from the back of the headlight unit, but once it's "loose" you can just rotate the unit upside down and remove the bulbs with the wires still in place.

I couldn't get past step 5 but you can easily turn the headlight upside down (so it's facing the windscreen) ...

ps
Useful notes from this Ford Manual's site (it might be a copy of the owners manual but who needs to read a manual Wink )

pps
when you remove the vents from under the headlights - some suggest putting abit of "lube" on it so you can get them off easier in the future ... "what's a suitable implement? I hear you say?" - maybe a flat bladed screw driver, but protect the body work with a cloth ...

I finally worked out how to undo the electrical connector the second time I replaced a bulb. Push the screwdriver into the side of the clip, not the end and it comes off easily.
I managed to pull the vent under the headlight off with my fingers.

Hi Guys, all bulbs are of ebay and are a very good match indeed, fogs and sides from same dealer in Germany, ebay fogs Item number 280623278488 and side lights 280632673227, Drl's are the cheap r8 type but as you see these are very bright even in daylight item number 230442627631, I stuck these to the underside of the headlamp instead of the plastic insert, I wired them to the delay ignition wire works perfect.

I'll add a close up picture of them switched of tomorrow to show how good they fit in the space below the light,I know this has been covered before but I'm chuffed with the way they look.

Ps all bulbs are canbus safe according to site
