Assume it's down to a heavy right foot (althoughI have top marks on the econ display) or the fact it is powershift.

My Titanium-X 163BHP has now done just short of 14,000 miles and I'm still struggling to break 35mpg.

Well peed off................

I think it's wrong that the brochure figures for combined & extra urban are so far off the mark (22mpg on extra urban)

Eh? 14k already clocked up on a Mk2? Or did you miss the large red bolded highlight in the opening post and meant to post in the Mk1 thread?

Just completed 1876 miles in our 163 awd and just hit the 35mpg. Tend to use the cruise control quite a bit.

Can people post their engine/drivetrain combo here when they post MPG.  I feel it would make the figures much more useful... Smile

(Unless the info is in your signature, of course!)

Hi kugey. That's not bad . How many miles have you done?  I have only done 700 miles in mine and am stuck on 39 mpg just running around. No long trips yet. I  am hoping it will loosen up a bit and improve the mpg figures.
Cheers
Hugh

Only 900 so far, it's been good from the start to be honest, as was my Kuga1.Although this engine seems more refined.Just think Ford have done a better job with damping out the vibrations/noise on the Kuga2 certainly sounds quieter when ticking over and at speed

Only 120 miles on the clock, Titanium X, manual, 2WD, 140bhp, getting 39.6 at the moment, and I have been really frugal with my driving, no long runs, just short trips back and forth to work. Initially filled the tank for first time and the range was 402 miles !! Used to get 480 miles from my Mk1.

I think the Mk 1 had a 65 litre tank, whereas Mk 2 has a 60 litre tank.

I bought New Kuga 2.0 TDCI (140hp), AWD manual, about a  month ago, and when driving on the highway 120kmh (75mph), average consumption is about 7.5l/100km (37.6 mpg), while urban driving is not less than 8.5l/100km (33.2 mpg)

In general, it is about 50% higher than it is specified in brochure, and I have never reached combined consumption of 6l/100km (47.08mpg)

In my opinion, it is too much

I already pass 2000 km.

@acafac our diesel (I live in Bulgaria) is of much lower quality than the one available in western Europe. It's mostly russian stuff (Lukoil).

Anecdotal evidence suggests that you lose around 100 km of range when refueling here vs Germany, for example.

Driving style also matters, of course.
