Just wondering how those whom have got their Kugas are finding the Fuel Consumption? Are people seeing the 44.8mpg efficiency? Edit by GazwatsRight I've moved every thread & every post since the forum started in 2008 that covers the whole fuel consumption & miles per gallon subject into this one thread. Clearly this is an emotive subject but if people can not be civil to each each then no matter who the posters are the topic will be locked (again) and the posters banned. Have a whinge by all means, praise it by all means, but keep it civil and respect the views of everyone else regardless of whether you agree with them or not. we managed 41.5 during the middle week of our holiday in France driving gently round the area, but only 36.5 when using the motorway at 85.
hope that helps

i've been getting around 35mpg with a mix of urban and motorway driving... about 1000miles on the clock now!
On reflection the focus st costs about the same to run based on 130ppl for diesel, but much much slower! |

I will not say its the same as the ST as its drive totally different , and you do get a lot more miles for your cash
as you know I have owned ST for the Last 3 years and Personally its nice to have a car no one else has at the moment
I was a member of the ST owners club and when I first got my Orange ST there wasn't many around , but now everyone has them
I like the Kuga , due to the fact I can Park it up and not be frighted of going back and finding my wheel missing , I can get a good night sleep not jumping out of bed every time I hear a voice
yes I may be crazy but a gang of lads decided to take my wheels off my ST on my drive under my bedroom window as we slept at 2 am
lucky for me a friend had been to a party and reported them to the police , they ran off and left my wheels at the side of the car
with the price of petrol we where getting to the stage where we didn't enjoy the drive , due to the petrol going down very fast 21 mpg
I cover a lot of miles in one week due to working for myself , my hubby has a focus coupe diesel , and find is two small for two growing teenagers in the back , so if we all go out together we use the kuga and the kids love to have lots of leg room now , go for the kuga belive me your wife will love it

Cheers Speedy.
I'm a member of STOC aswell...
The wife has already chosen the Kuga - purely on looks...
So its all ordered and will be here next week hopefully.
Sold my DS unit last week which will hopefully reduce the pain of moving away from the ST by spreading it out a little.. I miss the DS performance already!!
But the Kuga is a more comfortable drive and that's the main reason as my son gets car sick in the ST - no its not my driving, its just very very dark in the back of a 3 door ST3....

Im sure you both will love it ,
My hubby always goes for the keys every time we go out
at the moment and he hates car
due to him selling them all day long ,
Im very lucky as he works for ford so I can change my car every 9 months , he has mention us getting the new RS coming at the end of the year
but I really do not want to go back to worrying about parking it up ,and leaving it anywhere
No I think I will stay with the kuga for now ,
fancy the light blue next with the sports pack ,
will have to save my pennies for next march
let us know what you think ,one thing I will say the boot space is not as big as the ST
