Haven't done it yet but now I know which is the reversing wire I will give it a go and post some pictures. I've had a god look and you don't need to remove bumper, it's easy to tape the sensor on from under the car.  Convenient grommet to pass wire through and access to wire loom easy. Just need advice on best way to connect wire reversing light wire?

cheers David

i'm thinking of buying the same kit,  is it easy to install.  How have you all connected to the reverse wire?

Hi all,
Has anyone fitted the parkingdynamics sensor tape yet?  I have read mixed reports about their accuracy on some other forum's.  Not sure wether to go for one of these or fit a camera & screen.

Regards

Ursus

Picked up my new Kuga on Saturday.

Was from stock so didn't have a lot of choice on spec.
But I got an AWD Moondust Silver Zetec with Apperance pack.

What I did want was the reversing sensors.
Now do I fit a cheaper aftermarket set. £50-60
Or there was a leaflet in the dealers for Xvision sensors, so available from the parts department. £115ish
Or do I get the bosch system that is the factory standard. Also avaialble from the parts department £160. Although the most expensive it will look completely factory.

Has anyone fitted the xvision or the bosch systems?

Forgot to mention with the bosch system I could add the fronts at a later date.  £150

So front and rear sensors for £310 (£425 as an option from factory)

Hi Morph, I have front/rear colour coded sensors, even before the car was washed (just once so far) paint started to disappear (driving rain?) from a few of the sensors. I contacted dealer, Response. "you will have to book car into bodyshop, may be there for a few days?"  so I ordered a two pack paint/lacquer pen set, and did it myself. Just before I proceeded, on close inspection looks like it was covered in just Avalon base coat, the lacquer was missing?  but if paint falls of again may just water jet blast them down to the base colour, which is black.   Bob.

Just found all the wiring for the factory fit module in the boot. Even has a wire going through boot floor to a plug for the sensor wires. Currently plug has a blank in it.
But in theory I could buy all the factory fitted option parts from the local Ford dealers and Roberts your father's brother.
I would have reversing sensors that look completely factory.

What are people's opions of these now that you have had them in use for a while?
Was thinking of fitting ultra sonic sensors, but not really keen on drilling my new bumper.
