Thanks Mike....your pics make the wiring up look simple enough. Ive ptobably did more complicated wiring jobs. Probably the drilling I'd be most anxious about.
Isn't that your wifes car? (saw an earlier post from you)
I personally wouldn't let my other half near my car....he's useless lol.
It's usually me that's up to my elbows in the engine bay or jacking up the car to get underneath while he watches from the window.

Oh well.... Probably too late to trade him in now lol

Hi all

Just 5 more sleeps until I/we pick up Mrs O's new Kuga.  Getting excited now!  Missus not seen me this excited for a while now!

Anyway, been up to the dealers today and checked up on a couple of extras we're having included (No DRL's as yet, - they've advised me to buy from a 3rd party after sales market!  They also couldn't give me a price for fitting as no-one there had ever fitted them before, so didn't know the timescale involved).

I questioned why our Kuga didn't have a 'thingy' in the back, to which they took one from another Kuga and placed in mine (don't know why I wanted one in the first place though), and the new flaps look good also.

I had requested rear parking sensors be fitted and indeed, they have been,...but.......... and this threw me for a while.........  all 4 sensors have been fitted in a horizontal line,  ie, they've all been colour coded (white) and have been fitted into the white metal panel.  Whilst I've no doubt they will work as advertised, this is the first Kuga I've seen like this.  From what I gather, the two outside sensors are normally placed lower down, on the bumper section and are normally coloured black/grey to match the bumper.

Has anyone else got theirs in a straight line and/or does it really matter anyway?  I would have thought all Kugas would be the same.

Will post pictures when I pick her up.

140/FWD; Frozen Tit; 19" Bridgestone; App Pack; Sony CD DAB; Bluetooth; USB; P Sensors; Flaps; PPC(230V); Rear Bumper Protector (clear); KOC Stickers and a 'thingy'.

Factory sensors are fitted 2 up 2 down as you say.  Dealer fit can be fitted anywhere, and one of my wifes friends has had them dealer fitted, in a straight line.  Doesn`t matter, the only thing is that people WHO KNOW, will know they are dealer fit and not original.

Mine are factory fitted but I'm sure there has been a couple of posts and a picture in the forum about dealer fit ones being in a straight line - something to do with them being in the way of fitting a rear bumper protector I think.

Morning,

we have just collected our 60 Plate Kuga and it doesnt have parking sensors. part of the deal when we purchased was the dealer would supply and fit x vision parking sensors at the rear. i need to get it booked in for this to be done but thinking about paying the extra to have front sensors fitted as well.

i assume these work on a switch on the dash? does anyone have any pictures of the switch? is it same as all the other switches? just using one of the spare slots??

thanks in advance
Zppy!

The switch for the parking sensors would be situated on the centre consol... You may have a few coin holder slots if you don't have the switch.
You can see pics of it on You Tube by searching for the Kuga.

Have fun driving

I paid M53 Ford, Ellesmere Port to fit front/rear sensors to my first Kuga. Once fitted they seemed to be triggered by people smoking at bus stops, motorway bridges, grass verges, a full bladder? in fact just about anything would set them off, however when I contacted M53 Ford they told me that the company who fitted my sensors "no longer carries out work for them"  in other words go **** y******f
