Yup... We have 2 Britax Evolva 2-3 ISOFit kids seats. Fit perfectly and have had great safety reports...

Hi dazza, welcome to the forum.
I'm well past the child seat time of life , but I was reading What Car on-line and noticed the just did a big test on ISOFIX kiddie seats, and this was the winner:

This post is really aimed at those who have children or are expecting children We are expecting our first child in December and are now at a stage of deciding what car seat to have. We much like the travel system that maxi cosi offer. However, we have been told that Maxi Cosi ISOFIX base will not fit the ford kuga. Mothercare have stated that because maxi cosi haven’t yet tested this on the kuga, that they could not recommend this. We are at a loss, because the maxi cosi base is more universal than the brittax. We would appreciate any advice from anyone who have come across the same problem. MJ |

We have a Maxi-Cosi but without the ISOFIX. My understanding is that the base would fit, but we just didnt bother. Mothercare will just default to the statement of 'not yet tested in the car so don't know' no commital route. If you have a John Lewis near you then I would advise a trip to them and they should do a trial fit on the car. We found them very helpful at the Solihul branch. They also sold us the Maxi-Cosi seat real cheap as they had some 'end of line' colour availlable (black......go figure?). |

Hi mjk1975,
I am long past bothering about such items BUT, the suffix ISO means that it is a european agreed standard and as such if Ford say that an ISO fix base will fit in the Kuga IT WILL. There is a full range of ISO standards which run parallel to British standards and even surpass them in certain areas. |

Halfords also do a free fitting session too, so you could try them.
I actually have a Kuga and also have a Maxi Cosi Isofix base - (which we stopped using just before we got the Kuga) - but having fitted it in our other car, I cant see why you would have an issue.
If its handy (i.e. Not burried in the loft - i'll get it down and find out how it fits in the Kuga) - dont hold yer breath though :)

Ill have to check what mine is but i thought the point of isofix was that it was universal? One thing i would say is that mine has a front leg on it which gets in the way rather, and the base makes it quite high in the car. My girlfriend has the one (may be only for toddlers) that swivels and its fantastic BUT does come in isofix as far as i know. PS i would try not to buy from Halfords, just go there to look - they always say they have a sale on but the sale prices are often more expensive than prices on the internet.
