Anyone else got the problem, that the leather cover around the gear stick has started to split, and a hole appear? (Apologies for my terminology, but not mechanically minded) Will this be covered by the warranty? |

My leather gator also holed around the gearstick and was replaced under warranty no questions asked. My Kuga had done approx 10,000 miles at the time so any damage of this sort is not really normal wear and tear.

Yep mine is shot too, but having done 59k miles should I complain? That is a lot of gear changes!

Mines gone too. Luckily trim is covered by the Ford warrenty for the first year. If I had of left it any longer the dealer said I would have had to pay.

Mine also starting to split at 15k just out of 12mth trim warranty but not too bothered as I dont really want ford dealer doing anything thats not urgent cos they tend to do more damage, particularily on interior trim.

Mine is OK, but it looks like vinyl to me, so it might last better if it was really leather!

Our Kuga only has 7000 miles, bought second hand and wife has noticed a hole in the leather gear surround. Only had the car one month. It's over a year old though so will be interesting when we speak to the dealer we bought it from if they will replace it. I would hope so as it's so few miles and can't be considered normal wear and tear, well i hope!
