Heya guys!

Sorry I haven't been updating the status of my Kuga since the malfunction. Been rather busy with work, a new love life, and family commitments and all.

It's now been almost 5 weeks since the last update, and where the Ford technician confidently told me the part would arrive 3 weeks to the date he first ordered. No news about such part replacement as of today.

Been calling them twice a week since week 3 and their answers went from a confident sounding 'It will be here this week' to a weak 'I'm not sure sir, I don't know what's wrong, I will check and let you know today', which they never did.

I've resorted to refuelling every two days just to be sure I have enough petrol in the tank, from where I live - I travel 35km to work, and 100km to meet the future Mrs KP, so a peace of mind is my main priority now.

I'm gonna be heading to the Service Center again today (that's another 120 km), just to put pressure on those guys and resolve the issue soonest.

Hi KugaPrime,

Good to hear from you again Big smile.

Sorry to hear about the delay getting the part delivered, five weeks does sound a long time. Have you tried contacting Ford directly rather than just the dealer? Whilst Ford are not renowned for their customer service they might be able to provide some idea of when the part will arrive.

I must admit I have never really trusted fuel guages, since running out of fuel a couple of times in the 1960's, and never let mine drop below one quarter fall.

So your girlfriend is now the future Mrs KP, congratulations , have you set a date yet?. I should imagine you are doing a lot of 100km+ trips now.

Hope you get things sorted soon,

   Cheers, bayman

Hi bayman & Niall,

Many thanks for the well wishes. Well we've yet to set a date for both of us, but we are still in early planning.

Ford just called today and said that my part has arrived. Scheduled for next Tuesday. I can finally have a proper gauge soon!

And bayman, I'm doing so much 100+km trips that I've gathered about 14400 km since having the Kuga last October. Thats about 8945 miles in 5 months! That is definitely a lot.

Hi KP,

Wonderful the power of the KOC forum, just one mention on here and the part arrives.

You certainly must be doing a lot of trips to your girlfriends, I have had my Kuga 9 months and have done just over 11,000 miles and I drive her every day.

Is your girlfriend going on the Ford convoy with you?  I take it that your Kuga will figure highly in your Honeymoon plans, whisking you off to a romantic destination in style and comfort.

Just hope with the new part fitted you have no further trouble.

  Cheers, bayman
