Just turn the stereo up a notch, or fill the car with people? Or just get older so your hearing deteriorates like me!
 
Also noise deadening / sound proofing=extra weight=lower fuel economy
True about the extra weight being added, but in real terms the minmal amount of vibration dampner you would add to say the doors and wheel arches/boot to make a difference would be the same as all 4 people in the car wearing leather jackets, thick jeans and a pair of boots!!

Bob, Didn't he use a secret cellar, so you can soundproof your Kuga by burying it in the earth somewhere where you can't find it.
