Hello forum

Looking for help & advice.

I recently took delivery of an 2010 plate Kuga Titanium 2WD and im planning on towing my caravan to cornwall this weekend.

Hooked up the detachable towbar no problems, hooked up the electrics no problems. Reading the manual, i thought that once you hooked up the caravan to the 13 pin socket on the car, the reverse sensors would de-activate. Doesnt appear so. Slightly concerned I'll be driving for hours with the sensors bleeping constantly at me.

Is this common with other drivers or am I doing something wrong?

Any advice is most welcome, thanks in advance.

I have the same set up - all you do is turn off the sensors by pushing the switch behind the gear lever.

Hi

If you mean the gear stick, I dont have a switch anywhere near it.
It's a 2010 model so maybe it's in a different place?

What does your switch look like?

May be they only work when reverse is engaged...I dont have them, but it sounds logical Mr Spock.
