If I covered my Kuga in a carbon fibre skin would people think I had a Bugatti?  Assuming they didn't see me limp off in first gear...

I believe the Focus RS500 was wrapped.  Apparently it was manufactured as Matt Black and then wrapped as Matt Black.  The purpose ?  Not a clue.  Only thing I can think of is that it gives you the option of different finishes - a bit like wood veneer.

Could be the next big thing or cars !!  Does anyone remember vinyl roofs ?  What was the purpose of them ?  I can remember having one put on my Mk3 Cortina !! Ahhhh memories !
RS500 was painted in Panther black and then wrapped in Matt black.  But when you open the door/boot the wrapped doesn't finish under the rubber and you can see the edge of the wrap.  The RS500 should have been painted like they do the Audi R8
