Thanks for the info .... you have a source
Avalon is going.... maybe mine will become a collectors item!
I wonder how the auto will be priced, and the Individual too?
I have to decide how to close my 2 year Options contract soon.. I wonder if I will be tempted?

David, a wee bit surprised about the "avalon" going, most of the rumours were that it was going to be "chill". I think the auto box is a good idea but as you say, at what expense.
Me thinks, that since money is no object to you over there in Spain, you will be tempted but what colour .........decisions, decisions

Not until my numbers turn up on the lottery... I'm just a poor working man... eking out a pittance. The Kuga was a 'present' to myself after the stress of a second relocation, and the loss of a company car after 12 years of 'restricted corporate policy' choices.
I like the way Moondust looks, and quite like Chill, too, Who knows, maybe another blingy colour will be added to replace the reduced choice?
KugaBabe... I might just faint at the Euro price and sit on the fence....

Not sounding thick or anything but does that read that the Titanium now has the 163ps engine only and not the 136ps, also no manual option on the 163ps?
Be interesting to see the prices and when do you think the ford website will be updated?

I think I'll be contacting my mate at Ford for that MS Design kit at a greatly reduced cost! Will be interesting to see if Ford also use MS Design's daylight running lights they do for the Kuga?

Avalon going? Seems like a popular Ford colour, dealer assured me that "Chill" was next for the chop, which sums it all up nicely . . . . I suppose.

Like Bob, I was assured by the Dealer (he showed me an internal memo from Ford) that "chill" would be the next to go. What better way to do it, keep chill, get rid of Avalon and then cut chill later.
At this rate I can see the Kuga become available in only 3 or 4 colours very shortly. Maybe this is Fords way of "cost cutting". I know this has been covered in other threads but Ford really do need to think about this. The soon to be 7 available colours (and 2 of them are white) are okay but hardly exciting .

Think you are right John, it's all part of Ford's rationalisation and globalisation plans to basically reduce choice and increase production. Ultimately I suspect Ford are aiming for the return of the , "you can have a Ford motor car as long as it is black" days. Another master stroke of course is the end of the Ghia specification, leaving just two variants Zetec and Titanium as Mondeo owners will be aware for example a Mondeo Titanium is probably higher specced than a Kuga Titanium, perhaps not? Ghia at one time was the ultimate, OK there was a small option list but you do have to wonder now because the Titanium is quite a basic model and the list of fairly standard options is now huge, bluetooth/V control , USB, sensors, electric mirrors, privacy and roof rails all extra cash they should be included on Titanium, at least larger tyres (over Zetec) should be standard, and extras such as Pana roof, all leather, sat nav, bi-Xenons, along with 19" (20") wheels should be optional, What Ford have done in my opinion is dumped the Ghia in favour of an L & LX. Take a look around at what other manufacturers are including in basic models USB, and bluetooth are just two examples.
